We don't have general purpose pumps. That does not mean a pump could not end up in a different lab but they tend to use them in one lab until they can no longer be repaired. We do not keep a formal record of pump use but those working in the labs take care of their own pumps and know what they used them for. We may simply be one incident away from adopting the recommended practice, however.

Q1: Are you requiring this in your academic, governmental or private laboratories?
Q2: If no, why not?
Q3: If yes, how are you handling this.
